Rowen House

Glen Iris, Victoria, Australia | 2024

Work Scope:  Architecture, Interior design

For this project, we embraced a sleek modern style that harmonizes simplicity with sophistication. The façade is designed in a refined monochrome palette, creating a bold yet understated entrance that exudes elegance and contemporary appeal. Inside, the focus shifts to adding textures that bring warmth and character to the space. The combination of materials ensures the home feels both comfortable and inviting while maintaining its modern aesthetic.

One of the design highlights is the double-volume void in the living room, creating a striking sense of openness. This void allows for a visual connection between the upper and lower floors, promoting spatial continuity and an airy, open feel throughout the home. The layout is designed to ensure both the communal areas and private spaces are spacious and filled with natural light, enhancing the overall living experience.

A central feature of the home is the elegant spiral staircase. Its graceful, flowing form is complemented by a solid, meticulously crafted handrail, which lands with the same elegance as a finely tailored tuxedo. The staircase serves as both a functional element and a sculptural centrepiece, adding a touch of artistry to the design.

The result is a beautiful home where modern minimalism meets comfort and luxury, with attention to detail evident in every aspect. The integration of textures, light, and open spaces creates a serene and sophisticated atmosphere, making this residence a perfect blend of style and practicality.
